Life without water In our modern world we are used to opening a tap and have instant water supply. Unfortunately more and more regions in the world will need to live with the fact that choises need to be made how much and for what our water can be used. Especially regions with drought will face impact on their environment: Losses or destruction of fish and wildlife habitat Lack of food and drinking water for wild animals Increase in diseases in wild animals, because of reduced food and water supplies Migration of wildlife Increased stress on endangered species or even extinction And what about the impact on our direct lives: Less or no water available for irrigation Brackish or salt water from our boreholes Rationing by the Government Huge price risings to come
